Strathaven Striders consist of three different groups: Adults, Intermediates and Juniors.
Adult = 18 + | Intermediate = 12 – 17 | Junior = 8 – 11

Membership costs £20 for the year, running November – October, for both Adult and Youth members.
We host a number of training sessions and social runs every week catering to all levels of running and fitness. You can attend as many of these sessions every week as you like.

The below table is a list of regular weekly sessions, but there will also be additional social runs and club events such as Time Trials and Track Sessions. Keep an eye on the App for details.
For the moment training will be on a Tuesday and Wednesday 7pm, meeting at Strathaven Academy. The Beginners groups will start on Tuesday 23rd with Karen and Wednesday 24th with Ian. Everyone will meet for a group warm up, and then groups will split off depending on ability.
Tuesday nights will be coached by Graham, Donna and support from other coaches when needed.
Wednesday nights will be with Craig, Andy/Becky, again support will be from other coaches when needed.
All the sessions will be on the App. You do not need to book adult training sessions. A register will be taken on the night for admin purposes.
Strength and Conditioning
This session is a non running session suitable for all adult members. Meet at the Barrie Shelter in the park at 7pm. This is a coached session. The coaches Ruth, Donna and Ian will rotate weekly.
